Reflective awareness

Hi everyone,

I totally enjoyed this exercise I was able to sit on my back deck in the sun and take in all that was around me. Letting go of the stress and tension of the week was fantastic. Listening to the birds chirping and talking to each other was very calming.  With the wind in the leaves and the warm breeze it was very peaceful.  Listening to the  voice of the narrator just added to the calmness and after opening my eyes I found 4 dragonflies just sitting on me and enjoying my calmness.  When I completed the exercise I was recharged , less stressed and ready for the next round.  I totally loved this and will continue it in my daily routine.

  1. Hi Maureen! It sounds like you really made the most of this exercise, the way you describe it sounds wonderful! I think it is so awesome that you had 4 dragonflies hanging out on you, you were so calm!

    Thanks for the comment. It is really fun to stop and just look and listen to the world around you. It like the old saying stop and smell the roses. If we all don't take the time to stop and enjoy and listen to life you will find that you will have missed out on so much. And besides its a nice way to clear you head and recharge the inner you.

    After hearing how you were able to sit on your deck in the sun, and listen to the tape while listening to the birds chirping, and the wind was blowing a warm breeze...All I could think of was...Next time come and get me, and I will join you...I know that this was a very peaceful, and very relaxing experience. Maureen, I think this is an excellent way to listen to the tape.It is a great way to start your day. I have started using this exercise, before I begin my day, and it has made a difference. It feels like I have more energy to begin my work.
